Brixton Riots Walking Tour

Last year we hosted Learning Through The Art’s When Brixton Went On Fire: 40 Years After, to commemorate forty years since the Brixton riots. Their project is coming to an end this September with a walking tour on September 17, through routes that give us a history of how the events unfolded. Hub news

Lots has been going on at Carnegie this month! On top of our regular classes, we have had children’s birthday parties, mediation sessions, filming, away days, local charity meetings, helplines, refugee support, local church and prayer groups and NHS training. We also had the wonderful Magical Paper Theatre Company present Pinoccio, an afternoon yoga retreat and a gong bath session. If you have an event or a project in mind, why not get in touch? Co-working space at Carnegie

Help preserve Carnegie by working in our light and airy office space! We have 15 desk spaces for hire as an alternative to working from home (or your local cafe!). It’s on the first floor of the Carnegie building, with original parquet flooring, terracotta mullioned windows and 18 foot high ceilings. There is speedy wifi, a kitchenette and gym onsite, and we are on the P4/68/468 bus routes. Ruskin Park is just over the road for a picturesque lunch break. Contact for booking and more information.

Yoga Retreat Day

Time to re-energise, meet up with familiar faces and share an afternoon of yoga.   Start your summer off well by letting go of stress, rejuvenating the body, relaxing the mind and embracing the warmth and energy of summer. Fiona will lead you in a flow practice for summer focusing on energy and space. Fiona will also work with cooling and balancing breath practices, Yin practice and meditation for summer focusing on opening the heart and relaxing the whole body.  

The Magical Paper Theatre presents Pinocchio!

Pinocchio comes to Carnegie! July 9 2pm and July 16 at 12pm and 2pm He’s coming alive one more time with paper characters in a giant version of a Victorian Paper Theatre. Follow the adventures of Pinocchio, the mischievous puppet and teller of tall tales, as he follows his dreams to become a real boy. This beautiful show from the Magical Paper Theatre Company retells the well-known tale with puppets in an out-size replica of a Victorian paper theatre. Yoga Flow at the Hub on Wednesday evenings

We have a new Yoga Flow class taking place at the Hub on Wednesday evenings during term time, from 7.45 to 8.45pm. Teacher Laurella, of Wild Laurel, has trained and practiced for over 20 years with teachers all over the world. Price is £13 per class and you can book here.
